Made with Love
Just a week or two ago I was writing in my journal, apologizing to God for putting Him in such a small box in my brain. Since then, He has been blowing my mind to the point that it’s hard to keep my thoughts straight. It’s been wild.
Slowing down to grasp one of those thoughts this morning is that you are just one tiny human on a floating space rock yet you are fully known and fully loved. This one thought in particular is that you were “made with love.”
After crocheting a hat and sending it off to its new owner, I’ll usually include a card that says “made with love” knowing how much time and care I put into it. And it settled here in my heart that it’s the same with you. God made you. He knew exactly who you are and the choices you would make. He sees you now and isn’t afraid to claim you as His. In fact, I think He waits eagerly for us to notice Him. I have this feeling that we are surrounded by angels, loving energy, and life but we go about our days so wrongly focused on the things that trip us up or distract us and suck our precious time. And in that instant when we turn our hearts toward God and notice Him noticing us, the heavens explode with joy.
I truly believe that God knows and wants exactly what is best for us and it’s our journey in life to want what He has for us knowing it comes from pure love, to grow us in ways that only He can. In the same way that parents just want what’s best for their children, but it’s the child who grows into also wanting that for themselves that shows the realization that they were loved all along, even when that meant not getting what we want at that time.
Spiritually speaking, this reality of life is so hard sometimes but this isn’t the end. This place is where we gain the experiences that leave us wanting more of Him.
