Currently Reading...

Okay, after this, I need new book recommendations! So if you got a goodie, let me know in the comments which book you suggest why you liked it.

This isn't my first Jennie Allen book and I hope it's not my last.  I'll read anything that lady writes.

I'm currently reading "Find your People - building deep community in a lonely world." I'm only on chapter five but so far it's been encouraging and I'm about to dive into (what I think will be) the challenging and practical aspect of the book.

I'm just going to go ahead and say this, I really don't have a problem making friends.  I'm pretty agreeable and easy to get along with, but I think my issue with relationships is depth.  I hate small talk.  I just do.  I want a deep, messy, authentic connection with my tribe, and in a busy season of life with young children, that is often hard to come by or hard to keep.  I'm also an enneagram four, which if you don't know what that is, I'll provide a link so you can figure out what you are, but as a four, I crave authenticity, realness, uniqueness. So even if I have a bazillion friends, if all of those friendships are surface level, I would feel very lonely. 

Don't mind the fake tattoo residue left behind on my wrist. That's what you get when you put a fake tattoo on top of a fresh spray tan.
